End of Term at Newnham School
Congratulations to all the children in KS2 for their fantastic performance of Super Stan on Weds 9th July. Two packed early evening performances and a matinée (mainly for grandparents) required a huge commitment. In a show with so many outstanding performances it seems unfair to pick out individuals, nevertheless a mention has to be made of Evie (Kite) whose solo had many of us in tears, and Mr Mead whose energy and enthusiasm knows no bounds! Well done all of you, a performance worthy of the Derngate !
After several days of extreme heat causing a number of schools to cancel their sports days Thurs 17th July dawned humid with some gentle rain and the day went ahead as planned. All children took part with great enthusiasm with Oak (red) eventually coming out on top, - remember it's taking part that matters!
The morning concluded with a hilarious race for the teachers all of whom were in fancy dress. - needless to say Mr Mead won!
